Saw it for the first time last week in a UK test region. Labels are subtle: a small icon next to source citations that says ‘AI-assisted’ or ‘AI-generated’. Hovering gives a tooltip with detection methodology. Rollout pattern based on what we can see: UK first, then EU, US scheduled for late q3. ANZ and Asia regions sometime in q4 based on hints in their developer docs. Big tactical implication for SEO: AI-labeled content is being de-prioritized in SGE responses. We tested 10 pieces of content we know are AI-assisted and 8 of them dropped 3-7 ranks in SGE results within 48 hours of the labels appearing in the UK. If you’re publishing AI-assisted content in regions where labels are live, watch your rankings carefully.
@SilentBean64 the ranking drop data is what i was wondering about. de-prioritization in SGE results is the actual tactical impact. were going to need to rework content strategy in regions where this is live.

Confirming the UK rollout. Two of our editorial sites in the UK started showing the labels on third-party sources in our content (we noticed because users emailed asking what the label meant). Provides good incentive to be cautious about which AI-assisted sources we link to.
